Off-site backup server
Backups that sit on the same server or on an external drive in the same office won’t protect you from fire, theft, ransomware or an “accidental format.” The 3-2-1 rule calls for one copy off-site — and a VPS in a Tashkent data center covers that for 5 000 UZS per day.
Schedule uploads from 1C, an SQL server, a file server or a NAS over SFTP, rsync, Veeam or any tool you already use. Data travels over TASIX — fast and with no traffic charges.
What an off-site copy protects you from
The scenarios that usually send companies looking for off-site backup
Malware encrypted the server and every connected drive, including the “backup” one. A copy on a remote server with separate credentials stays clean — you recover in hours instead of paying a ransom.
Everything in one room is lost at once. A copy in a data center across town is the only thing that survives a day like that.
Drives in office servers and NAS units fail without warning. In the data center, data sits on SSDs in a RAID storage array — and your copy is kept separately anyway.
Someone deleted the wrong folder, overwrote the database, or the admin left and took the passwords. Version history on a remote server lets you roll back to any day.
Client contracts and audits increasingly require verified off-site backup. A copy in a licensed data center in Uzbekistan settles the question.
1 TB of storage costs 50 000 UZS per day, only for as long as you use it. No hardware to buy, no drives to replace, no second office to maintain.
Recommended configurations
For a backup server, storage is what matters; minimal CPU and memory are enough. Size the disk for 2–3 full copies plus history

- 1 vCPU
- 1 GB RAM
- 200 GB SSD
- 1 IP

- Linux, SFTP / rsync
File server, databases, mail — up to 1 TB

Root access: SFTP, rsync, Borg, Restic, a Veeam repository, a Windows share — whatever suits you.
Internet and TASIX/UZIX up to 100 Mbps with no traffic charges — backups from within Uzbekistan travel over the local network.
Static IP; access can be restricted to your office address only.
Snapshots of the backup server itself — protection against copies being deleted from inside.
1C: scheduled .dt export or file-database copy via Task Scheduler → SFTP to the server.
MS SQL / PostgreSQL: scheduled dump → rsync with 30 versions retained.
File server / NAS: Synology Hyper Backup or rsync — incremental, changes only.
Veeam Backup & Replication: the server as a Linux hardened repository with immutable backups.
We’ll help you set up the scheme and schedule — free of charge.
How to get started
How much data you have and how many versions to keep. Size the disk at 2–3× — you only pay for the allocated space.
Sign up, top up, choose an OS — and you have an IP and SSH or RDP access. The disk can be expanded later without reinstalling.
Connect SFTP/rsync/Veeam on your side and run the first full backup. After that, only nightly incrementals.
