Ransomware in the Office: What to Do in the First Hour and How Not to Lose Your Data
A step-by-step plan for when files on your computers and server suddenly turn out to be encrypted — and what you should have done beforehand.
ReadThe office server burns out, ransomware encrypts everything, the admin quits and takes the passwords along — and the data is gone. We set up automatic backups of your servers, workstations and 1C databases to our data center in Tashkent and verify that the copies actually restore.
Works with what you already have: a server in your office, a VPS with us or with another host, ordinary computers. Restore a single file or an entire server.
An off-site copy covers the risks that an external drive in a desk drawer can’t
Backups are stored separately from your network, with version history: even if everything is encrypted, we restore the state from yesterday or a week ago.
A full server image is deployed on new hardware or on our VPS — work resumes the same day.
A folder deleted, a database overwritten, something “cleaned up” by mistake — we bring back the right file or database as of the right date.
Backups are physically in another building — a data center with security, UPS and a generator.
A dedicated scenario for 1C: scheduled database backups, integrity checks, retention of 30 days or longer.
Regulated backup retention and a restore log — for audits and internal policies.
You pay only for the volume of stored copies — 300 UZS per 1 GB per day, with no per-server or per-machine fee. Backup storage is not included in the VM tariff. Setup is free.
Documents, folders, workstations

Accounting systems with frequent changes
Example: an 80 GB 1C server with daily backups (7 restore points ≈ 200 GB of storage) — 200 × 300 = 60 000 UZS per day ≈ 1 800 000 UZS per month. Need a different setup? Get a consultation.

We clarify what to back up, how often and how long to keep it. We estimate the volume and give you an exact daily price.
We install the agents, create the schedule and run the first full backup. Usually within one business day.
Backups run on schedule and you receive reports. Once a month we verify that restores work.
A snapshot lives next to the server and is meant for a quick rollback before an update. A backup is stored separately, with history, and protects against losing the server itself, ransomware and mistakes. You need both. Snapshots are a paid option; the price is shown in your account.
Yes. The Veeam agent or our backup script works from any server or computer with internet access — in your office or at another hosting provider.
Individual files and folders — yourself, in minutes, via the panel. A whole server — usually 1–3 hours depending on size; you can also spin up the backup on our VPS right away while you fix your own hardware.
No, we don’t look at backups. If you enable encryption, data is encrypted on your side before transfer with a key only you hold — then we only see the volume. If the key is lost, the data cannot be recovered.
By default 30 days. Longer retention (for example, monthly backups for a year) is set up on request — you only pay for the storage used.
The first full backup is sent once, after that only changed blocks. Transfer speed can be limited, or backups can run only after hours or at night.
From your shared MyCloud balance, charged daily at 00:00: 300 UZS per 1 GB of stored copies, with no per-server or per-machine fee. Backup storage is not included in the VM tariff. Legal entities receive an invoice and closing documents (invoices and acceptance certificates).
Yes, basic DDoS filtering is included in all plans at no extra cost. If an attack threatens the infrastructure, traffic to the attacked address may be temporarily restricted. Clients who launch attacks from our servers are blocked.
