What a Windows VPS is used for

Tasks people typically order a Windows server for

Terminal server for the office

Employees log in over RDP and work in shared programs: 1C, inventory, CRM, Excel. Any computer works as a workstation, even an old one.

Remote work

A desktop in the cloud: at home or on a business trip, employees connect to “their” computer from a phone or laptop. Data never leaves the server.

Windows apps 24/7

Trading bots, scrapers, marketplace data exchange, bank-client integrations — programs that need to run around the clock, not just while your PC is on.

Permanent public IP

A static IP address in Uzbekistan for accessing bank-client systems, government portals and APIs that filter connections by country and address.

Application server

IIS, .NET, MS SQL Server, a file server, a domain controller for a small company — anything that specifically requires Windows Server.

Test environments

Test an update, train a new employee, set up a demo for a client — spin it up for a day, shut it down and stop paying.

Good to know

Windows Server and RDS CAL licenses (for multiple concurrent users) are purchased by you separately.

For security, we recommend changing the RDP port, enabling brute-force lockout and restricting access by IP — we’ll show you how.

Need Linux? Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS and Fedora are available on the same plans with no licensing restrictions.

Data migration from your current computer or server — free of charge.

How to get started

1 Choose resources

Go by the number of concurrent RDP users. Not sure? Start with the mid-range configuration — you can change it on any day.

2 Server ready in 15 minutes

Sign up in the client panel and top up your balance by card via Payme/Click/Uzum or by invoice — Windows is installed automatically.

3 Connect over RDP

The administrator login and password are in the client panel. Create user accounts for your staff and move over your programs and files.

FAQ: Windows VPS

Current versions of Windows Server. If you have your own image or installer, you can mount your own ISO and install the system yourself.

Technically, as many as the resources allow: plan on 1 GB of RAM and 0.5 vCPU per workstation plus 2 GB for the system. Legally, more than two concurrent RDP sessions require Microsoft RDS CAL licenses.

Yes, Windows Server and RDS CAL licenses are obtained by you in line with Microsoft’s rules. If you don’t want to deal with licenses at all, use Linux — it’s available on the same plans.

Change the default port 3389, enforce strong passwords and lockout after several failed attempts, restrict access by IP through the firewall, and disable unused accounts. There’s a detailed checklist on our blog.

USB keys (1C, digital signature) are forwarded to the virtual machine over the network via USB-over-IP. Local printers and drives connect through standard RDP features — they appear in the session as usual.

Charges are applied once a day. When the balance hits zero, the server is suspended and your data is preserved; once you top up, it starts again automatically.

Yes, DDoS protection is included in all plans at no extra cost.
