1U server colocation in a data center
Your server, currently sitting in the office at the mercy of a power outlet, an air conditioner and the cleaning crew, moves into a rack in a Tier II+ data center in Tashkent: uninterruptible power backed by a diesel generator, climate control, security, redundant BGP uplinks. You keep full control over your hardware and data.
Pricing is transparent: rack unit, power supply rating, IP address. A typical 1U server with one 350 W power supply costs 34 000 UZS per day — about 1 million per month, less than running your own server room.
Who single-server colocation is for
Typical situations that bring customers to 1U colocation
You have your own server for 1C, a database or files — no point renting a virtual one. Put your hardware in a rack and pay only for space, power and network.
Power outages, summer overheating, flooding, unauthorized access. The data center has UPS + diesel, climate control, security and list-based access control.
Redundant connectivity, static IP addresses in Uzbekistan, free TASIX/UZIX. For services that clients and branch offices connect to.
Security or regulatory requirements rule out provider-side virtualization — the server is physically yours, and only you have access to it.
Reboot, swap a disk, connect a console — the on-call engineer handles it on request at any hour, no trip required on your part.
Your own hardware for the database with virtual servers right next to it on the same data center network — backups, test environments and web front ends on VPS, without the cost of a second physical server.
